I attended a teleseminar today on change vs. transformation that was very enlightening. Change is small scale, inwardly-facing, and all about adjusting your DOING. Transformation is large-scale, outwardly-facing and all about adjusting your BEING. Think changing positions in a company vs. losing your job and trying to find another one.
Transformation tends to be frightening to us humans, but there are ways to support ourselves during the evolution:

• Challenge your assumptions and perceptions. Is this a fact, or a belief? Keep your mind open and stay real.
• Stay positive. Surround yourself with positive people who will constructively challenge you. Avoid negative people who only want to bring you down .
• Stop complaining. It is what it is. Put your big girl panties on and deal with it.
• Stop worrying. Worry is one of the most destructive tendencies, as it ties up all of your resources with something that hasn’t happened. When you find yourself worrying, STOP! Move your mind to something else immediately
• Keep your sense of humor. Watch funny movies, read the comics. Listen to upbeat music.
• Keep things in perspective. One day you’ll look back on this time in your life. What do you want to be able to say about it?

The good news is that Transformation can result in huge new strides in our lives. Keep this in mind: the end will be worth the means!
